Today’s Penny Arcade was fantastic.

In US VS Xavier Alvarez, Judge Alex Koxinski considered all the reasons people lie, and how it could be necessary to maintain privacy.

Joe Concha of Mediaite looks at MSNBC’s ratings problems, in the aftermath of President Obama’s reelection (which meant there was no more Republican boogeyman) and subsequent scandals, where the network was forced to defend a besieged President.

Hurricane Sandy had an interesting local effect in Queens.

David Goyer explained why Zod was chosen as the villain of Man of Steel, a reminder to comic fans who think in terms of the villains they’d like to see in superhero sequels that the story should dictate the characters rather than the other way around.

About Thomas Mets

I’m a comic book fan, wannabe writer, politics buff and New Yorker. I don’t actually follow baseball. In the Estonian language, “Mets” simply means forest, or lousy sports team. Currently, I’m writing a few comic books about my grandparents’ experiences in Soviet Estonia for Grayhaven comics. You can email me at mistermets@gmail.com
